Dr. Lana Kanaan (aka Dr.K)

About Dr. K

Dr. K (Dr. Lana Kanaan) grew up in a family of renowned healthcare professionals, she has had a passion for dentistry her whole life. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) with Honors from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2010.

Following graduation, she worked at a private dental office in Waterloo Ontario for several years before moving to Oshawa and building her own practice "K Smiles Dental Care" in 2018.

Dr. K's Past Experience

For over a decade, Dr. K focused her training on cosmetic dentistry and aesthetics with an emphasis on oral surgery. Dr. Kanaan won several awards including "Excellence in Cosmetic Dentistry Education Award" from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

She has earned her fellowship in implant dentistry through The International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Some of her specialties include Orthodontics (braces and aligners), Root Canal Therapy, Veneers, Crown and Bridge, and Implants.

Dr. K's Philosophy

Dr. K takes pride in staying on the leading edge of dentistry and invests a lot of her time attending international dental seminars & conferences around the world in order to provide her patients with the most advanced state of the art techniques and technologies available in dentistry today!

Her goal is to create a comfortable and safe space for patients that allows them to feel empowered to make decisions about their oral health and have access to all the information they need to do so.
